Smart Manufacturing, Machine to Machine Communications using Cermate Edge Server/Gateway

One of the biggest challenges with Industry 4.0. smart manufacturing is machine-to-machine communication. 

Traditionally you would purchase a communications gateway to connect two different ethernet networks or ethernet to serial i.e. Profinet to Ethernet IP, Ethernet IP to Modbus RTU.

The disadvantage is that the factory has thousands of various pieces of equipment. Different brands, models, and protocols are all different, and it’s costly and complicated to install. 

Cermate designed the protocol gateway (ES Box) that supports more than 500 communication protocols to solve this issue. In addition, ES Box has a built-in MQTT function, HMI in Hand (Android/iOS), and PanelVision (PC version) software for remote applications.
