PLC Hardware Terms & Conditions
This document contains PLC Hardware’s Terms and Conditions of Business.
PLC Hardware is not and does not claim to be a registered distributor of the following brands or other product lines we sell, apart from those we are registered distributors for:

PLC Hardware warrants to Customers, that all hardware Products sold by PLC Hardware will conform to applicable manufacturer’s specifications for the warranty period. The warranty period begins on the date the Product is delivered to the Customer. All non “New Factory Sealed”, or refurbished Products, are covered by a full 12-month Replacement Warranty.
PLC Hardware only sells, Genuine, New, Factory Sealed Products unless otherwise stated.
All “New Factory Sealed” Products are covered by a 12-month Manufacturers Replacement Warranty.
Customers must notify PLC Hardware of any defective Product within the warranty period. Warranties offered by PLC Hardware are subject to acceptance of and compliance with PLC Hardware Terms & Conditions. If a return under warranty is required, we will replace the defective Product within the warranty period, provided that such product is returned to PLC Hardware by the customer in accordance with the PLC Hardware Return Policy.
The warranty will be void if, upon examination of the Product, it is determined by PLC Hardware that the defect had occurred because of misuse, neglect, alteration, improper installation, accident, unauthorised repair, or improper testing, or the serial numbers or date codes mismatch the originally sold Product or were removed or defaced. The invoice or proof of purchase must be shown, and the product's original packaging must be provided if possible.
Allen-Bradley PLC products will have firmware already installed, PLC Hardware makes no
representation as to whether a PLC product will or will not have firmware, and if it does have
firmware, whether the firmware is the revision level that you need for your application. PLC
Hardware also makes no representations as to your ability or right to download or otherwise obtain
firmware for the product from Rockwell, its distributors, or any other source. PLC Hardware also
makes no representations as to your right to install any such firmware on the product. PLC
Hardware will not obtain or supply firmware on your behalf. It is your obligation to comply with the
terms of any End-User License Agreement or similar document related to obtaining or installing
Specific firmware revision levels can be ordered if required and available.
Non-Defective Product Returns. Customer may request Return of working Products within 15 calendar days of the invoice date. PLC Hardware will review all requests on a case-by-case basis. If granted, a restocking fee of 15% of the original purchase price will be retained, and PLC Hardware will issue a refund for the remainder of the amount, provided that PLC Hardware receives the Product within 30 calendar days of invoice date, and in the same condition in which it was originally delivered. Products received after 30 calendar days of invoice date, and/or not in the same condition will not be accepted. PLC Hardware reserves the right to refuse return of incomplete Products or to charge a minimum 15% restocking fee for returns that are accepted.
The customer is responsible for the cost of shipping returned Products; PLC Hardware is responsible for the cost of shipping replacements for returned Products and will match Customer’s shipping method.
Returned Products Must Be properly packed for shipping. PLC Hardware is not liable for Product damages that may occur in transit during Product return. To minimize the possibility of Product damage in transit, Customers must properly place the Product, or original manufacturer’s box with the Product, in a shipping box with packing materials. The Customer must be sure the Product is properly surrounded with bubble wrap or packing foam. Products should never be shipped without packing foam, bubble wrap, or an antistatic bag.
Customer shall not be entitled to, and PLC Hardware shall not be liable for, loss of profit, promotional or manufacturing expenses, overheads, business interruption costs, loss of data, removal or reinstallation costs, injury to reputation, or loss of customers, punitive damages, loss of contracts or orders or any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages of any nature. The customer’s recovery from PLC Hardware for any claim shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the affected products irrespective of the nature of the claim whether in contract, tort, warranty, or otherwise.
Quotations & orders
Offers are private and confidential, please do not disclose any aspect of this information to third parties
For project pricing to apply, all the quoted parts must be purchased, unless PLC Hardware has agreed to the changes.
Quote Validity: Due to the global component shortage and fluctuating market pricing, quote validity varies between suppliers. The specific quote validity period of each supplier will be stated on our quotes.
Delivery Times are approximate.
Upfront payment applies for new customer first orders, a 30-day account can then be set up for future orders.
Due to our supplier’s upfront payment requirements, items with lead times longer than 30 days will require full payment upfront.
Orders over $20k will require a deposit of 50%.
All detailed information such as series versions, firmware levels etc, must be specified on the order. Ordered items will not be replaced or returns accepted if such information is not provided.
Cancellation of orders will not be accepted once orders have been placed on our suppliers.
